The 2012 campaign for the presidency of the United States is already well underway. The two leading major party candidates, Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat Barack Obama, are both in the mail, but with very different fundraising efforts.

Hi James-Thank you for watching! Well, there are no membership ID numbers, but to me, it appears that the Obama mailer was sent to a house list. "I know you've already answered that call ... I'm asking you join me once again ... We've come a long way together, and I'm so grateful you've been by my side every step of the way" it says. Romney's is definitely a prospect mailing. BTW, We track quite a bit of political mail (both direct mail & email), and the amount of efforts we receive is on the upswing as we move into a big election year. Would you be interested in reading more analysis of it all? -Paul

First of all. Great video I really like this. Thanks for putting it up. It sounded like the Obama piece was a house package to existing donors while the Romney package was for prospects. Was that the case?
